Texas, Oklahoma holding Free Fishing Days this weekend

!Grab your fishing poles and head on out to the lake, it's Free Fishing Weekend

In Texas, the first Saturday of June is known as Free Fishing Day, where you can fish in any public body of water without a fishing license.

All of Lake Texoma will be open for free fishing June 6. If you want to spend another free day fishing at the lake just head on over to the Oklahoma side where fishing is free both Saturday and Sunday.

Local permit requirements may still apply during Oklahoma's Free Fishing Weekend in urban areas.

While Free Fishing Days allows people to fish without having a state fishing license, anglers must still follow all other fishing regulations, including daily bag limits and size restrictions.
